ABOUT US
Our founder, Grayson, started brewing beer at the age of 20 after discovering a loop-hole in certain legal regulations. From there, he tumbled down a decade-long obsession with brewing and craft beer in general that led to Crazy Gnome Brewery.

When a tornado came through East Nashville in March 2020, this dream was put on hold a little longer. Shortly after, the stay at home order issued in Nashville to combat COVID-19 caused further delays. Finally, after numerous set backs and incredible continued support we can proudly say we opened our doors in August 2020.
We are so excited to share with the world the beer we have been enjoying for years.

MEET OUR TEAM!
If you've been to our East Nashville taproom, then you've likely met one of these fine folks, so here's a little more about our small and mighty team that keeps our brewery and taproom rockin' and rollin'!

Tell me a little bit about your experience at Crazy Gnome!
Crazy Gnome Brewery was the working name of the brewery back in 2015 when I doubled down and got serious about homebrewing. At the peak, I was throwing house parties every other month to get feedback on the brews, while at the same time building the business plan that would lead us to forming our LLC in 2017. From there, it was time to sign a lease, break a lease, sign a second lease, build a taproom, get hit by a tornado, experience a pandemic, and finally help open the doors in August 2020 to the public. Easy!

When you aren't slingin' beer, what do you like to do?
When I’m not pouring Nashville’s finest I’m exploring the water ways of the Cumberland Plateau with my pup. When I get rained out, I like to throw pottery at the studio. It’s a wonderful way to get your hands dirty, and you never really know how it’s going to turn out until you open the kiln.
Where are you originally from? If not Nashville, what brought you here?
I’ve moved around a bit, but I spent most of my childhood in Baltimore MD. I still make it home to get my Blue Crab fix.

special.
